TAKMED for Civilians: Major Companies Actively Train Their Staff!

In wartime conditions, even in cities far from the frontline, people may find themselves in situations where emergency medical assistance is required. In many cases, time is measured in minutes — for example, in the event of critical bleeding caused by injury or trauma.
This leads to one crucial question: will a person be able to help themselves or others before an ambulance arrives?
That is why the TopGuard Security team, together with active military paramedics, developed a first aid training program for civilians. According to military conflict statistics, timely and properly provided first aid increases survival chances by 70–90% in cases of severe injuries and trauma.
The outcome depends on the answers to the following questions:
- Can a person correctly use a tourniquet or apply a bandage to stop critical bleeding?
- Do they know how to act if someone nearby experiences an epileptic seizure, loss of consciousness, or airway obstruction?
- What should be done in case of suspected heart attack or stroke?
- How to correctly call emergency services and involve others in providing assistance?
When developing these programs, our goal was to make the training as informative and easy to understand as possible — clear even for a child. The knowledge gained during training can be refreshed at any time and in any place by reviewing educational videos dedicated to each training topic.

This approach is actively used in training professional security personnel and military units — with outstanding results.
Today, we observe a growing public demand for first aid knowledge. This trend is understandable: every day, almost every person in Ukraine may face a direct threat to life due to the war. As a result, first aid skills have become a vital necessity.
Another important trend is the increasing demand for first aid training for company employees. Today, almost all well-known international companies operating in Ukraine order such training for their staff. This is a clear and practical investment in the safety of employees and their family members, and a strong demonstration of care and responsibility. Based on our experience, people truly appreciate this approach.
All programs were developed by a staff military paramedic from the legendary 72nd Brigade — Olesia Konopelko (call sign “Karamelka”). Olesia holds 32 certifications, including international NATO-standard certifications, and, most importantly, has over four years of invaluable frontline combat experience.
Group training sessions are especially effective, helping teams and employees prepare for emergency situations and act together when providing assistance to one another.

Special attention should also be given to programs designed for women and mothers. For every mother, nothing is more important than ensuring maximum safety for her family and children. First aid skills have become just as essential as any other parenting responsibility. Due to the war, dangerous situations may arise at any moment — at home, in a park, during a walk, or at school. Possessing these skills allows for quick and correct response.
All materials are presented in a clear and accessible format, allowing even children to learn essential information through practical engagement.
We believe that organizing such training is a hallmark of a modern, socially responsible company that prioritizes human safety. If your business has not yet joined this important initiative, now is the time to take this step forward.
Our formula for success is simple: if you know how — if you are trained — you will be able to act. We are confident that this is one of the best time investments for saving human lives.
