Ukraine passed this test with excellence. UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin stated that there were absolutely no mistakes in the organization of the Champions League Final in Kyiv.
He made this statement during a meeting with Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
“I would like to thank Kyiv and Mayor Vitali Klitschko for the excellent organization of the Champions League Finals. This is the largest sporting event in the world, and it is not easy to organize. There were no mistakes yesterday or in the days before,” Čeferin said the day after the match.
Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko also emphasized that everything went extremely well, thanking law enforcement agencies for their coordinated and professional work.
The security system operated flawlessly. Its perimeter began at the national borders and extended through defensive lines in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine. Military forces, together with international partners, became key guarantors of this outstanding football spectacle.
The security system prevented serious public order violations and ensured a comfortable and safe stay for guests from all over the world, both inside and outside the stadium.
The successful organization of the UEFA Champions League Final in Kyiv proved that coordinated efforts of public and private security structures deliver exceptional results.
