The controller acts as a receiver for the signal that comes from the button. The additional power source starts to work when the main power unit is turned off. This is very important as burglars can turn off the power to prevent the alarm from going off. In this case, the signal from the panic button will still go to the security, thanks to the backup power supply.

Alarm button types
There are stationary and mobile devices. The first ones are fixed in a certain place, for example, in a store - near the cashier's workplace. The signal is transmitted through a wired communication line. The advantage of this option is the reliability of the radio signal, which is not afraid of interference or large noise. However, to mount a wired device, it is necessary to select the correct size and type of cable. Due to the presence of wires, the installation of such a button takes a little longer than the wireless counterpart.
Possible locations for the stationary option:
- at the reception of the restaurant and hotel complex;
- the registry of a private or public clinic;
- at the entrance to an educational institution, kindergarten, near the guard post;
- in consulates, district and regional administrations near the correspondence reception point.
Mobile alarm buttons are produced in the form of a variety of key fobs. Thus, they can be carried with you, which is very convenient in large supermarkets or in large banks. An employee of the enterprise will be able to send a signal from anywhere in the premises, this gives a significant advantage over the robber. However, the wireless model has a range as indicated in the instructions. In most cases, the key fob does not work at a distance of more than 500 meters from the controller.
Scope of Alarm Buttons
Panic buttons are popular both among individuals and among business owners in the field of catering, scientific, financial activities, etc. If the installation is carried out in a private enterprise, employees are instructed on how to use the panic button.
There are times when the device is pressed accidentally (fake call). For such a case, there is a special instruction. An employee of the company must call the dispatcher of the security agency, introduce himself, name the reason for pressing the button and say that there is no danger. After that, you need to name the secret code to cancel the call to the guard. Then the operator calls the owner of the enterprise where the alarm is installed, and only the authorities have the right to make a decision to cancel the response group to the object.
